Pasuruan lies between Malang, and Kabupaten Pasuruan. It is different with Kabupaten Pasuruan because of its location, and the government.
Although the location is not as big as other city, Pasuruan has also marvelous tourism objects. Besides having religious tourism, it also has several kinds of original food, and other fascinating resort.

Reasons to visit Pasuruan, are:

2. The One and Only Bipang “Jangkar”

4. “Selamatan Petik Laut”

…and, Here are the details:

1. Rawon + Sate Komoh

This is a dark beef soup, accompanied with beansprout and chili paste. The dark color is due to kluwek nut, which also gives a certain taste.
As a later modification, rawon is served with fried lung or chicken. The original chilli paste is mixed with shrip taste called petis, which is also a specialty from East Java.
This restaurant serves also several otehr dishes with some chinese peranakan influence. One of them is "Nasi Sambelan" which is a mix rice with several dish and chilli paste.
The taste is delicious,not expensive at all, as for 3 people we only neeed to pay 40k Rp (4 USD).
Good choice of place to sample local culinary.

2. The One and Only Bipang “Jangkar” (puff rice cakes)

It is a kind of snack made of rice, and tastes sweet with vanilla flavor.


3. Original Wooden Furniture

Pasuruan also has original wooden furniture. Its quality is competed with other wooden furniture, such as Jepara. The Government also has exported this product abroad.

4. “Selamatan Petik Laut”

The selamatan Petik laut is a tradition of throwing away the head of Buffalo to show the thankfulness to God.
The Fishermen usually decorate their ships, and doing their Ritual together.



5. Ting-Ting Jahe

It is a candy made of Ginger, usually used to warm the body. It tastes sweet. It is also an exported product.



6. The Holy Cemetery of K.H Abdul Hamid

This holy cemetery is very popular. People which doing a tour of “Wali Songo”, believe that their journey isn’t complete before visiting this cemetery. This is one reason why this place is always full of people

7. City Town Square

It is located in the middle of the city. It has been renovated, and decorated. It is wide and supported by many Factory outlets in the border of this place. You can take a rest here, and watching the Grand Mosque Al-Anwar.

8. The Grand Mosque Al-Anwar

This Mosque becomes the icon of Pasuruan City. It is very luxurious. Most of the people do the prayer here.
