Radar Bromo [ Selasa, 20 Oktober 2009 ] Pemilihan Cak-Ning Digelar Lagi

PASURUAN - Setelah setahun terakhir vakum, ajang pemilihan duta wisata Cak dan Ning Kota Pasuruan kembali digelar. Tahun ini, jumlah pesertanya membeludak, melampaui tahun-tahun sebelumnya.

Kualitas peserta pun relatif sama. Akibatnya dewan juri mengaku kesulitan menentukan siapa yang layak menjadi finalis.

Kesibukan babak penyisihan duta wisata atau ajang pemilihan Cak dan Ning itu sudah terlihat kemarin. Sedikitnya 95 orang mendaftarkan diri. "Ini merupakan jumlah peserta terbanyak sepanjang sejarah ajang pemilihan duta wisata kota," kata Bagus dari Forum Komunikasi Cak dan Ning (FKCN) Kota Pasuruan.

Seperti biasanya, proses seleksi untuk para peserta melewati serangkaian materi yang cukup rumit. Mulai dari pengetahuan umum, kemampuan bahasa Inggris, atau bahasa asing lainnya, hingga materi pariwisata.

Setiap peserta mendapat kesempatan yang sama untuk menguji kemampuan masing-masing. Tidak ada yang mendapat perlakuan khusus. Proses itu dilalui bersama, sejak tes seleksi secara tertulis dijadwalkan di tahap awal.

Semangat para peserta seleksi Cak dan Ning itu patut diacungi jempol. Mayoritas tampak tidak lagi canggung menghadapi setiap sesi uji kemampuan yang wajib dilalui.Tidak sedikit yang tampil pernuh percaya diri, hingga membuktikan kemampuan istimewanya dalam menerapkan berbagai bahasa asing. Misalnya salah seorang peserta bernama Afif Amrillah. Gadis berjilbab itu cukup fasih melafalkan beberapa kalimat dalam bahasa Prancis, selain bahasa Inggris.

Kata-kata bahasa Prancis yang diucapkannya, cukup membuat dewan juri memberikan nilai plus. Tidak diragukan lagi, jika dalam daftar 10 finalis Ning, mahasiswa akademi kebidanan (akbid) di Jombang ini ikut masuk bersama sembilan kandidat Ning lainnya.

"Sejak lama, sebenarnya sudah tertarik untuk menjajal ajang pemilihan duta wisata Kota Pasuruan. Bukan sekedar bersaing memperebutkan posisi juara. Tapi punya semangat bisa berperan dalam meningkatkan potensi wisata daerah," tukas Afif, ditanya soal motivasinya ikut dalam ajang pemilihan duta wisata tersebut.

Usai dinyatakan masuk nominasi, bersama finalis Ning, dan Cak lainnya dia diwajibkan mengikuti serangkaian babak penilaian dengan tantangan yang jauh lebih berat.

"Seperti biasa ada proses karantina sebelum kita menetapkan siapa yang berhak menyandang gelar Cak dan Ning Kota Pasuruan 2010 ini," terang Bagus lagi. (via/nyo)

THE ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC HOSPITAL IN JOMBANG

(The Quality Assuranc's Task)

Public Hospital of Jombang is such a hospital which is laid in the centre of Jombang city. It has been being the best hospital in this city which also has a good service in maintaining patient. It has 11 doctor specialists and also many common doctors, nurses and midwives.
In maintaining patient, there must be a system. this system must be well prepared to increase the quality of the hospital.
The Quality assurance can be implemented by having PDCA approach, or evaluating with SWOT approach. in this article, i will give some explanation and also some examples of maintaining patien to increase The Quality Assurance of Jombang Public Hospital.
I’ll analyze this hospital, including its service by using PDAC Approach, here it is.
1. P = PLAN
Plan is Establishing the objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with the expected output. By making the expected output the focus, it differs from other techniques in that the completeness and accuracy of the specification is also part of the improvement.
Every part of hospital needs plan to make some programs, especially to cure patient. In this case, I’ll take an example of plan to cure patient.
When patient comes, a nurse or a midwife is going to divide it into the most serious disease to the common disease.
After dividing, then the patient is placed into the chosen room. Room is also divided into 3 kinds of room. The most luxurious is VIP room, it cost the most expensive one, and then the second class room is the common room. And the last room is the cheapest one; it consists of those who have JAMKESMAS.
Then the patient will choose the doctor, or if they are the JAMKESMAS patient, they will be told about the time of visiting of the doctor.
Then, the nurse will record about the identification of patient into the recording book, and plan to give some service of the patient according of its disease.
2. D = DO
Do is Implementing the new processes. Often on a small scale if possible.
The Doctor will cure the patient and give some prescription.
The nurse will give the prescription to the patient, and ask the family to take the medicine in the Hospital’s drugstore.
After having the medicine, the nurse or midwife will give it to the patient as the instruction of the prescription.
3. C = CHECK
Check is Measuring the new processes and compare the results against the expected results to ascertain any differences.
The nurse will observe the patient 24 hours to make sure that the patient is fine
The Nurse also check the observation book, preserving a complication which might be happened.
4. A = ACT
Act is Analyzing the differences to determine their cause. Each will be part of either one or more of the P-D-C-A steps. Determine where to apply changes that will include improvement. When a pass through these four steps does not result in the need to improve, refine the scope to which PDCA is applied until there is a plan that involves improvement.
If there is a complication, the nurse will call the doctor, then the doctor will give some advices which the nurse can do to the patient.
The Doctor will ask the nurse to change the patient’s room according of it’s seriousness, for example, the patient might be sent to ICU or another room.

The Second, i will analyze this hospital's quality by evaluating its prosedure and service by SWOT approach.

SWOT analysis is a tool for auditing an organization and its environment. It is the first stage of planning and helps marketers to focus on key issues. SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Strengths and weaknesses are internal factors. Opportunities and threats are external factors.

1. S = Strength
- this hospital lied in the middle of Jombang city, where is easy to visit

# still, there are many medical instrument which is not available
# the price is still expensive
# Lack of marketing expertise
# Poor quality goods or services.
# Damaged reputation,
# Undifferentiated products or services
3. O = Opportunity
- this hospital can become a big hospital or A typed Hospital, because of the human resources of this hospital is very qulified.
* A developing market such as the Internet.
* Mergers, joint ventures or strategic alliances.
* Moving into new market segments that offer improved profits.
* A new international market.
* A market vacated by an ineffective competitor.
4. T = Threat
- the hospital has many threat. i will divede it into two sides, they are from inside and outside
The threat from inside is :
the conflict between some docters or medical engineers

The threat from outside is:
* A new competitor , such as : RSAB MUSLIMAT, PKU MUHAMMADIYAH
* Price wars with competitors.
* A competitor has a new, innovative product or service.
* Competitors have superior access to channels of distribution.
* Taxation is introduced on your product or service.

According to me, my score to this task of analyzing the Hospital should be A.
My reasons are :
 I explain the hospital’s description, including its location, and its figure
 I figure out the analysis by using both, SWOT and PDCA approach
 I give some simple examples of analyzing hospital
 And the last but not least is the usage of English. I use English not to show off my ability, but to persuade that midwifery student can also communicate and doing the task coming from lecture by using English.
Finally, there are some reasons why I really want to get “A” for this task.
